Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

And I really mean. “GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR”.

Ok so, new pill = new level of hormones in my body = hunger BIG time.

Wow, I wasnt supposed to feel like this when I started the new pill. This is day 3, and I swear I feel even more hungry than I did with the last one. I’m telling myself that it will take a few months to get my hormones under control again. The doctor said to give it 6 months (6 months?!!!!) before we look at another one. So here goes another 6 months of intense hunger.. It’s weird, because I know the hunger is only in my head, but my tummy is starting to growl now too. I had my snack at 11:15am, so I have to hold out for my dinner at 1:30pm and CAN NOT eat ANYTHING between now and then (it’s now 12:10pm). Good old water. Good thing I dont mind drinking it.

So instead of wandering around aimlessly in the office (I’ve finished all my morning jobs) and finding myself in the kitchen having to make a conscious decision NOT to eat the biscuits left out on the table, I’ve decided to write a rather pointless blog! Hey, if it keeps me from mindless snacking, then it’s all good.

My sister’s coming up tomorrow evening and staying with me for 2 nights. Now, I dont intend on buying foods into the house that I shouldnt be eating. My sisters always comment that I’ve no “food” (meaning junk food!) in my house. I always send them up to the shop for themselves, but not for me. I cant have that stuff in the house. I’ll only end up eating it and feel rubbishy after. So our plan for the weekend (well her plan really!) is meeting up with my Aunts on Friday evening and then she’s heading in to town after to go out with a girl from home. I’ll call in to town to them after the engagement party, and be the dutiful older sister, and bring her home!

I’ve tried to get my boyfriend to come to the engagement party. My friend;s askedĀ  a few times now to bring him. We’ve been going out almost a year and they still havent met, which is so wrong on so many levels! He’s slow to committ to the evening though. It would be waaaay outside his comfort range, so I doubt he’ll go. Which is a shame, and I know my friend will be annoyed, but I cant twist his arm. Well I could, but I wont!

So tonight, my plan is - gym (if I have the energy after work) and then bed. Typical Wednesday night for me. Nothing exciting. Was in the gym this morning already before work and did a good cardio work out. Burnt about 840 calories, which is good going on an empty stomache! I’ve changed up my training routine a bit now to include more cardio to help drop the pounds just a wee bit quicker and more consistantly. I’ll still do strength training 2-4 mornings a week, but one or 2 mornings I’ll dedicate to pure cardio. If anything, to give my arms and legs a bit of a break from the weights.

Right… just got landed with another bit of work…. 40 minutes to lunch time, which means 65 minutes to when my dinner will be ready (takes 25 minutes to cook up what I’m having today!).

Bis spater Buddies!

It is lunch time for me too, and I know exactly what you mean.

I had a diet shake for breakfast, then a yoghurt for elevenses, and I ate my lunch digustingly early at noon! Normally I would eat it at more civilised 1:00 or 1:30pm. Even though I have a mid afternoon snack, if I eat lunch too early it makes me too hungry to wait until dinner in the evening if I eat it too early, and that is a definite trigger for binging.

You mentioned in your post to me a Chromium supplement. What exactly do you take? I am going to try that. I was thinking about getting Reductil if the hunger got too bad, but I want to try and avoid that if possible.

It is tough when you have people around who expect lots of “bad” food. Get in loads of really nice fruit, and maybe some salsa and crudites. The creamy dips are too fattening as are corn chips, but if you check the nutritional info on salsa, it’s not too bad.

I find drinking alcohol weakens my resolve; I don’t know if you have that problem, but it will be something to watch when your sisters bring contraband food into the house.

    Take care
    J

Good job on working out! I am wondering though.. with burning so much calories during workouts, your body really needs more nourishment and fuel. Hence hunger?

you are doing great — one day at a time and with each day’s success, it gives you more resolve for the next day (and proof that you can do it)
keep it up — way to ignore the hunger!
